Since earlier this year, Google has been rolling out Workspace extensions for Gemini, allowing it to scan your emails (via Gmail) and documents (via Google Docs and Drive) to inform its responses. The latest open beta expands Gemini’s reach to Google Calendar, Keep, and Tasks, not only to improve its answers but also to take action—such as creating, editing, or canceling a calendar event—within Google’s apps. Here are a few things the new extensions can do: In Calendar, Gemini can create events; find events on your calendar using a day, date range, or event details; and edit or cancel events.
